From razors to full outfits, you can find just about everything you use on regular basis offered in a subscription box. When it comes to building your wardrobe, there are five that can help men be more fashionable without trying.
While having a box of clothes sent to your doorstep on a monthly basis is convenient, it’s not for everyone.
Whether your wardrobe is already packed with clothes, or you can’t afford the high monthly prices, there is an alternative to staying stylish on a budget: Gentleman’s Box.
With the motto, "Look good. Feel good. Be good," Gentleman’s Box aims to bring out your inner gentleman by working on the finer details. Unlike subscriptions that include full outfits, the 2014 startup sends 4-6 accessories like socks, ties, sunglasses, watches, tie clips, pocket squares, and grooming products.
By including coordinating accessories, Gentleman’s Box helps you find a new look without buying an entire outfit, and at just $25 a month, the cost is kept low. Single item "Sock of the Month" and "Tie of the Month" subscriptions are also available for $12 and $15, respectively.

Gentleman’s Box sent over its October subscription box for me to check out — and I think the idea is absolutely genius.
I enjoy picking out different pieces of clothing myself, so I’ve never felt the need to use a traditional menswear subscription box. What I like most about Gentleman’s Box is that it includes items you’ll definitely use, at a fair price.
The box I received included socks, suspenders, shoe laces, and a tie, which come to a combined total value of $112.
Although I already own items similar to what was included, Gentleman’s Box allows you to try combinations you may not have put together on your own. By coming packaged together it makes conceptualizing a new outfit extremely easy. I personally would have never thought to swap new laces in dress shoes, but doing so can give you an entirely different look without needing to buy another pair.
In addition to packaging items that work well together, the box includes a copy of the latest issue of "The Gentleman’s Post." The startup’s small publication includes information like where to find specific products if you want to buy more, ideas on how to incorporate them into your style, and other seasonal fashion tips.
The company further engages with its subscribers through social giveaways. In honor of the film release of Stephen King’s"It," October’s box included a red balloon, one of the story’s iconic visuals. Subscribers can win a mystery box valued at $100 and tickets to the film by tweeting a picture of themselves in an outfit using this months items and the balloon using the hashtag #KingofHorror.
If you’re looking to add stylish accents to your wardrobe, Gentleman’s Box is one of the best ways I’ve tried.
