We have previously featured cool sculpin, March Brown, and midge patterns by New Jersey fly tier John Collins, and now he’s back with a cool steelhead pattern in the latest video from Tightline Productions. Although JC’s Electric Steelie Stone looks complicated and hard to tie, the steps are fairly straightforward and don’t require any special tying skills. You’ll impress your tying and fishing buddies when you flash a box full of these gorgeous, colorful flies.

As usual, Tim Flagler’s camerawork and explanations are clear as day. Follow his directions to the letter, and you’re sure to end up with a great-looking, effective pattern that will catch steelhead and trout. Make sure watch Tim’s videos in full 4K resolution. You’ve never seen fly tying look so good.
