George’s River Trout Unlimited meets Dec. 11 starting at 6 p.m. at Flatbread Company, 399 Commercial St. An informal meal and conversation will be followed by the program at 7 p.m. The month’s program will be presented by Dan Pierce, owner and founder of Maine Tenkara Guide and the first registered Maine fishing guide to guide exclusively tenkara. Pierce was introduced to the tenkara method of fly-fishing more than 10 years ago and has been doing it exclusively for more than six years, primarily in the rivers and lakes of northwestern Maine.
