Gerald Scott: Old-fashioned catfishing has eternal charms
I was in figurative knee pants the first time I walked the muddy banks of a slow-flowing flat land river, while my grandfather searched for likely places to catch channel cats. True, it was the only type of fishing available at the time, but I probably would have liked it best irregardless, because no other habitat has as many "non-fishing" objects vying for a youngster’s attention.
