A family watched in horror as their mother desperately tried to rescue their father from drowning before being swept away herself. Mu Thu Pa and her husband Kay Dah Ukay died after being washed into the sea while fishing from rocks at West Auckland’s Muriwai Beach about 2pm on Monday.
