Interior Delays Obama-Era Regulation on Methane Emissions

The Trump / Zinke Interior Department, the gift that just keeps on giving.

The action marks at least the third time the Trump administration has moved to delay or set aside the Obama-era rule, which was imposed last year. The rule forces energy companies to capture methane that’s burned off or “flared” at drilling sites because it pollutes the environment.

Just further proof that Zinke is interested in helping only one particular brand of special interest group, the extractive resource industry. Those folks emit tons of methane and pay peanuts in royalties to exploit our public lands while we have to fork over $70 for a day pass to a national park.
