A new digital billboard going up in London, owned by Landsec, will have the capacity to recognize the model of a vehicle driving by to deliver the driver a targeted advertisement. Previously, there were six different digital billboards at this location.

The 790-square-meter billboard will get divided into six sections in order to play multiple advertisements to play at the same time. These separate sections have a series of cameras installed in them designed to scan passing vehicles to recognize the car’s model and color. These factors change what type of advertisement gets displayed on the screen. If an advertisers know their audience they can program their advertisement to go off when a specific model goes by.

Landsec announced that later this month the digital billboard will come to life, but did not provide an exact date.
