Benefit planned for family of Wyoming, Minnesota boy killed by snowmobiler

Friends of the Geisenkoetter family of Wyoming, Minn., have organized a Feb. 10 memorial benefit for Alan Geisenkoetter Jr., the 8-year-old killed when an allegedly drunken snowmobiler plowed through his family’s ice fishing site on Chisago Lake. The benefit will take place from 12-4 p.m. at the Chisago Lake boat launch with a suggested donation of $5 for the family of Ellie and Alan Geisenkoetter Sr. The event is being billed as a dry, family-oriented day of ice fishing.
