Ice fishing draws crowd

The annual ice fishing event, on the lake next to Highway 3A, enables kids and families to be introduced to the activity, and allows for family time as well on the Family Day long weekend. "We had people here say that the drove out from Vancouver to be part of this event," Jessica Yarwood from the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC said – who came from Abbotsford herself to represent the Society there.
