Man who was stood up on a date goes fishing instead and catches a huge bull shark A Gold Coast fisherman started his night looking to make waves with a new love interest but ended up hooking up with something else entirely. Andy Sparnon, 44, was left waiting in vain for his date to show up but instead of wallow in pity he grabbed his fishing rod and headed down to Runway Bay to try his hand at shark fishing for the first time.
