When guide Jesse Quale pulled up at a little current break about a mile downstream from the Nekoosa dam on the Wisconsin River late last week, my appearance was embarrassing in less than five minutes–and I didn’t care. At that point we decided to leave the livewell open on Quale’s Lund to avoid wearing out the hinges.
