IN AN EVENT that sounds like it had all the trappings of a nationwide pep rally to support recruiting, retaining and reactivating hunters and recreational shooters, 325 representatives from conservation groups, trade associations and governmental agencies met in Lincoln, Neb., this week for the first-ever R3 Symposium. On Tuesday, leaders from the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports, Archery Trade Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service signed a Memorandum of Understanding related to the issue.
