A guide to catching sockeye salmon on the Fraser River

It may be one of the worst fishing experiences B.C. has to offer, but reporter Bob Kronbauer argues it’s still heaps of fun. So you’ve heard the news that there’s a large sockeye salmon run happening on the Fraser River right now? Some media are describing it as “the biggest sockeye run since 2014!”, and to be fair it is, but it was absolutely guaranteed to be; the sockeye in this river system have what’s called a “dominant” run every 4 years.
