County pursues murder trial, not satisfied with plea to lesser charge

At his pre-trial hearing last week, attorneys for Eric Coleman, Chisago City tried to enter guilty pleas to criminal vehicular homicide and other related counts in connection with the death of an eight-year-old boy last winter, on Chisago Lake. Coleman was operating a snowmobile that ran down and critically injured Alan Geisenkoetter while he was organizing gear for nighttime ice fishing with his parents.
