Resist temptation to test early ice

Ice has formed early on many ponds and reservoirs in southeast Minnesota, but it’s not yet time to be venturing out for some ice fishing. With no forecast lows below 10 degrees for the next week, and with highs projected to top the 40-degree mark several times, anglers are advised to keep off the ice for at least a couple weeks.
