Trial starts in connection with snowmobile death on Chisago Lake

The trial of Eric Joseph Coleman opened in district court in Center City Friday December 7. He faces charges of third degree unintentional murder, criminal vehicular homicide and causing bodily injury in the death of Alan Giesenkoetter, 8. The boy died from injuries sustained when a snowmobile operated by Coleman struck him on Chisago Lake, January 26, 2018. The victim’s dad Alan senior, was also injured when the snowmobile collided with a portable ice house being erected by Alan senior.
