Stephan Lyogky and his father, Ivan Lyogky , of Hartville, Ohio, bagged first and third place, respectively, in last weekend’s Brainerd Jaycees ice fishing tournament, but contest officials have begun an investigation into possible cheating and have withheld finalizing prizes and payouts to the winners. For the first time since the Brainerd Jaycees $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza was launched in 1991, a major investigation is underway to determine whether some of this year’s competing anglers, including the winner of a new pickup truck, deceived contest organizers.
