Six-year-old Kendyl Conyne of Mayfield likes to dance, but Saturday she played ice hockey using a ball with her brother, Landon, 8, at the annual Community Winter Carnival at Mayfield Lake. Richard Kohn of Gloversville said he likes to ice-fish yearly with his sons-Connor, who is 10 now, and Austin, 6. He and Connor were using an auger to cut holes in the ice, which was reportedly up to 24 inches deep, not counting about a foot of snow over that.
