Squinting from his ultra-bright surroundings, Forum News Service outdoors writer Brad Dokken shows off the 42-inch northern pike he caught on a walleye rod during a recent snowmobile and ice fishing trip to Oak Island on Lake of the Woods. Fishing partner Jason Laumb of Grand Forks helped him steer the girthy fish up an 8-inch hole for a quick photo before the pike was released.
