Welcome to the latest edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival, in which we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available. This week, we’ve got an even dozen videos that feature salmon from British Columbia, brown trout from New Zealand, redfish from Louisiana, and trout from Montana. Plus: death-metal catfish!

For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.

And don’t forget to check out the awesome Orvis fly-fishing video theater: The Tug. As of today, there are exactly 1,429 great videos on the site!

We kick things off with a video that seems especially relevant on Veterans Day. We have posted before about Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, and the stories included here really drive home how important these retreats are to veterans trying to recover from traumatic injuries and experiences.

By now, Jurassic Lake (a.k.a. Lago Strobel) needs no introduction, but the high-energy pace and giant rainbows make this video fun to watch.

After several years of teasers, here at last is the film about the gorgeous waters of southern Chilean Patagonia . . . and the projects that threaten to destroy these natural wonders.

Andrew Harding (a.k.a. troutboynz) put together this great promo for the southern end of New Zealand’s North Island. It’s quite a hype reel.

I dig the vibe in this video about preparing for an outing in the marsh to chase redfish on the fly.

Via Joe Cummings, here’s a video that captures a day of ripping around Montana in Jet boat and sticking some great wild trout with friends.

There are some slob jacks and redfish in this video from Louisiana. The triple at the end is impressive.

Anglers from Finland and Sweden meet on the river than flows through both countries to chase Baltic salmon under the midnight sun.

I’m not sick of seeing huge golden dorado take to the air. Are you?

Here’s a cool clip about a program called “Writers on the Fly,” a series of public readings. But the video is pretty good, too.

What if I told you I found a French fly-fishing video with a death-metal soundtrack, plus the biggest catfish you’ve ever seen caught with a fly rod?

Finally, we’ve got a sweet video about chasing salmon on the Squamish in British Columbia, which looks like a blast.
