Captain Mike Gerry, among other expert north Alabama anglers, reports that one way to find a bit of fishing action during the remaining cold days of this winter is to downsize lures. Gerry likes Tight-Line jigs, and he not only shortens the skirts in winter but also thins them down by about 1/3.
