Dad took my sisters and me fishing when I was about 9. He was boyishly excited about a new fishing rod he got, so he loaded his six girls into his little Mitsubishi Colt and drove the 10 blocks or so to the Pasig River. We watched while he fished, unsuccessfully but contentedly, for hours.
